Marshall Lysander Johnson is a native of Bellingham, Washington and a graduate of the University of Washington and the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. Marshall’s interest is the Northwest scene, especially nautical subject matter. His primary medium is oils on canvass but he also uses watercolors, acrylics and sculpture. “As an artist, I strive to project the vitality and varied moods of the Pacific Northwest. My marine paintings reflect the endless subject matter I see while sailing on Puget Sound”. Marshall does most his painting from his homes in Federal Way and Orcas Island.
