George Milliken graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design but did not paint again for 20 years while pursuing a career in marketing and advertising. He took up watercolors again while living in LA he had two large one-man shows that jump-started his reputation. He and his wife moved to the Oregon coast in 1999 to rekindle his love of boats and the water, and discover the joy of northwest landscape painting. Today George lives in Gig Harbor, Washington.
